There are times in life when I know that I need to savor each moment, cause it will be gone all too quickly.
Like this morning.
LJ woke up at the annoying hour of 6, so I put him back in his bed and told him to go back to sleep.
Sometime shortly after, we heard him knocking on his bedroom door asking to come out. I didn’t even move, but simply said, “your turn” to the hubs.
Shirt: Gap Outlet, Skirt/Tee: Old Navy, Sandals: Target, Necklace: ???
The next thing I know, it’s 8:00, LJ is nuzzled in next to his daddy, and Hubs is lucky if he has half a butt cheek on the bed. We spend the next few minutes snuggling before Hubs had to get up, but it was what happened next that I want to remember forever.
My little Boo snuggled up as tight as he could next to me, rubbed my arm, and kept saying, “I your baby, I love you mommy.” It was almost like a little kitten purring as it nuzzles up to its mother. So sweet, innocent, and just so much love from someone so small.
It makes me want to throw up to know that the days of him wanting to snuggle in bed, give me kisses all day long, and telling me, “I love you” in front of his friends are coming too quickly to an end.
I just want to sit here, soak it all in, and pretend he will be my little man forever.

I have a 3 yr old and a 19yr old. With the little one I learn to treasure every moment, even if it’s less space in bed; because I know, all too soon, he will be 19 telling me how he wants to move to Japan
This brought tears to my eyes….you are so right, you blink your eyes and they are grown-ups with families of their own. Savor it. Enjoy it. Little ones are so pure and show their love with no strings attached, it is a beautiful thing indeed!
I have one 2-year old little boy. He will be my only child and I both love and hate the fact that he is growing up. I love, love, love snuggling with him and it makes me so sad that he is getting too big to sit comfortably in my lap when I read him his bedtime stories. I also love that he’s getting older and can do more things…like today, he rode his tricycle while I walked with our two dogs.
He will ALWAYS be your little man!
So glad to come accross your beautiful website! What a pretty lady you are! I own that same skirt and have only worn it twice because I’m unsure how to wear it. I really like how you layered and tied a knot at the waist. I’m going to try that. It adds some definition to the pleated tummy part. Such a nice comfy skirt though. What shoes did you wear? I wore my cowboy boots before.
Aw! What a little sweetheart!!! LOVE that necklace!
This gave me goose bumps! So happy you had that moment with him! Love you so much momma!!!
