I was pretty sure from the second I put this outfit on Hubby was going to think I’d lost my mind. He doesn’t say much about my outfits, but this one was really different. I’ve been stewing on this one for weeks now, but just had to build up the confidence to actually put it on…and then have an occasion to wear it.
Tights with shorts.
I totally thought I could never pull off this look. First, I can’t stand shorts. Second, I only wear longer shorts. Third…well I just thought I would look like a moron.

I actually really like how this outfit turned out…except for the sad fate of my tights. I had them on for less than an hour and I had snags and holes. BS!!! They are my first, and possibly only, purchase of the Simply Vera line from Kohls. Soooo disappointed in the quality.
Hubby on the other hand….well, he thought I’d gotten dressed in the dark.

I think it’s a great outfit! Love the yellow scarf! I hate wearing shorts. I almost lived in skirts this past summer.
Wow! This outfit really rocks! And the yellow scarf just puts the dot above the i (as we say in Sweden).
Hubbys never have a clue!! This is too cute!! I always thought the idea was adorable but like you I still don’t have the courage!! Looks good on you though!!

Doesn’t Kohls have a pretty lenient return policy? Like, “no questions asked”? Maybe try returning them due to their poor quality.

You go girl. I want to try a look like this. I just bought some AWESOMELY drab-colored tights for $5 at Target! I got a rust color, bright blue color, and olive green color, but they had tons of more colors, too. You should check them out–they seen to be great quality, too!

I LOVE IT! I have shorts and tights sitting on my dresser just WAITING for me to wear and I haven’t had the courage yet! I will have to give it a try now since I LOVED how yours looks! beautiful, as always! xoxo
crazy enough, all my absolutely favorite tights are from WalMart. They are always $5 and are thick and durable. I’ve had pairs for years, and I wear them all the time. Cute prints and colors too. Whenever I buy nice name brand stuff, they snag or just fit poorly.

I gotta say I’m not really a fan of this one. I think it takes a really specific outfit combo to pull off the tights with shorts look and I think the sweater/scarf/shirt combo looks too heavy on top.
Totally have the same tights from Kohls, but in tan, wore them to church and came home and there was a massive hole from pulling them up evyrtime I go potty. feel your pain sister
You know what I love about this post…you put this on and rocked it….even though your husband may not have liked it. My husband can be opinionated sometimes and then I won’t wear something. You rock it girl!
