Top Chef
It’s a little sick the power that show has over us. We know all the chefs, all the master chefs, have watched every season, and have even met Fabio at Cafe Firenze (it’s just a town over lucky for us).
Before heading to Sacramento for my friend’s wedding, we decided to stay a night in SF. We didn’t see the sights, we didn’t go shopping… we watched football in our room and got ready for a Top Chef religious experience.

See that in the background? It’s Fleur de Lys. THE Fleur de Lys.

HUBERT KELLER’S FLEUR DE LYS
Yes, we went to San Francisco for basically one reason, to eat. And good eaten it was!
For Him: Quail with a bunch of other stuff I don’t remember cause I was too excited about mine
For Me: Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail, served with a Truffle Mac and Cheese Cupcake and Beet Bites over some yummy cheese
I got an Apple Pie Tartlet with Marzipan Crisp, Chocolate Creme Brulee and Caramel Whisp, and some ridiculously good Ice Cream for dessert. TO.DIE.FOR.
Get the bill…..also to.die.for….in a different way. This may have been our one and only (hope not!) trip to Fleur de Lys, but it was worth every ridiculously expensive bite.
Dress: Anthropologie, Undershirt: Shade Clothing, Necklace: JCrew, Heels: c/o Nordstrom Rack
I just probably should have taken outfit pics before dinner. And before 11:30pm in the hotel lobby. Priorities people, priorities.

Oh, how fun!! It looks delish!! Loving your dress!
I am sooooo jealous you got to eat at Fleur de lys!! My husband and I are also HUGE Top Chef fans since it started! Sadly we completely got rid of cable/satelite a year ago and haven’t been able to watch it:( We’re pretty close to Chicago and really want to eat at one of Rick Bayless’ restaurants, we always loved what he made…at least the way it looked:)
Also love the dress:)
Ok, I love your dress. Is that the one you posted about awhile back? It looks gawjus on!!!! Love the pattern!!
I will have to have my hub take a client there when he’s out in the bay area in a few weeks. Perhaps I can live vicariously through him.
I would love a new winter coat!
I am LOVING that dress! I’m going to the website now to check it out:-) I wanted to say first that I love your blog and since finding it about a month ago I’ve really made an effort to change the way I present myself. I haven’t lost (any) baby weight since having my daugther a year ago and have been really down on myself however, taking the time to find some nice quality, nice fitting pieces has done wonders for me! I actually WANT to get dressed and not stay in my scrub pants all day now!
I’m wondering:
Do you wear shapewear or can you recommend some shape wear?
I’d love a recommendation because shapewear can be really expensive and it’s nothing something you can really put on and wear around the house like a sweater to decide if you like!
How fun! We’ve walked by there every time we’ve been in SF. We love Top Chef too and especially Hubert! I’ve loved all of your trip recaps and you look great as usual
Have a good weekend!
hahaha love it! i’ve been to craft in la and craftsteak in vegas and always have a similar experience with the dining and the bill
One word: Jealous
Great looking food and a great looking dress! SO jealous!
