I’ve been DYING to make a jersey knit elastic waistband skirt. Ever since I bought my favorite chevron stripe skirt, I’ve been kinda obsessing. Only prolem is that my JoAnn usually only carries solid colored jersey and it’s rather expensive…boo

As you can imagine by this dorktacular picture, I was rather besides myself with excitement when I found this navy and red striped jersey mixed in the bunch. It wasn’t on sale, but I had a 50% off coupon, so this baby was mine!

I had heard over and over again that knits, especially jersey, is really tough to sew. I will admit, it was not the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but the stretch of the fabric does help hide beginner errors, like accidentally stitching part of the elastic waistband into the skirt itself. Ooops! Whatever.

I’m a sucker for rich, hydrating bath products, but usually can’t stomach the price. At under $5.00 each, bodycology had me {and my wallet} from hello.
