This past weekend we hit the road and headed to Sac-town for our dear friends’ wedding. We were so excited to go, especially since hubs was the best man
With all his best man duties, I knew I’d be on my own with LJ. That left this awesomely huge dilemma….what do you wear to an afternoon springtime wedding that still lets you run around after a toddler?
Last summer we ventured up to Montana for my cousin’s wedding. It was a beautiful wedding on her parents’ property filled with cowboy boots, stetsons, and pigs on a spit. Not to mention, I was then chasing a 1 year old.
Me and some of my cousins….yes I’m 10-15 years older than all of them
I rocked this awesome printed maxi dress with a white shrug and white wedges. It was cute, functional, and perfect for chasing the munchkin around.
This time I went for a white cardigan and yellow belt. Not too different from the first time, but enough to make me feel like I at least tried to make a different outfit.
Between the ball rolling incident, puke at the reception, and inevitable chasing of a two year old, I was really happy I went with something so easy to run in. My awesome hair and dark circles tell the story, don’t they?

Yay for a cute AND functional outfit!
One day we definitely need to meet…you passed right by me on the way to Sac!
Super cute. Wish I could rock a maxi dress…I'll have to try it again sometime soon. :]
I have a wedding uniform too; however I have yet to attend a wedding with a baby, and am pretty sure it's not kid friendly!
You looked beautiful, btw. Dark circles and all.
LOVE that dress!!! Cute, cute, cute!
Love the oufit! Especially with the belted cardigan!

I give a thumbs up to the new improved look. I prefer the cardie and cute belt. What do you think about pairing with a broom skirt {I have 3 in my closet}??
I love this dress! SOmething I always wonder is how peopl ewho live in places with such HOT temps can even wear sweaters! I would be a hot mess… and not in the cute southern girl kind of way… LOVE this outfit you look great (as usual)
Maxi dresses are my FAV! Not only are they super cute, they hide lots of flaws
(and if it makes you feel better-my mom and her brother are 17 MONTHS apart in age, yet my closest cousin and I are 20 YEARS apart!)
You don't see a lot of maxi dressed dressed up like this, but it totally works! I love the look on you
That maxi is perfect!!
Did you notice, in the first pic that's full length, you look like you're floating.. haha!!
