Change beware……there’s a piggy in the house and he’s hungry!

Pig Food RULES in our house.

One day LJ found some change on BSB’s nightstand. At first I had a minor flip out thinking he was going to eat it. He was at the stage where EVERYTHING went in his mouth….but he didn’t know.

So instead of playing the inevitable “no” game with him everytime he found change, I figured we’d make it fun.

I busted out this adorable piggy bank I was given at one of my baby showers and introduced him to LJ. I told LJ that this was HIS special pig and he was in charge of taking care of him. Anytime he found “pig food” lying around, he had to feed piggy.

It caught on.

Now there’s the pig feeding ritual….feed, shake, kiss.

I LOVE that I can teach him about saving money in a fun way and it’s something he’s really excited about!
